Experience extending beyond the auction block.
Mr. Kearney is the managing member of Kearney and Company and has more than 30 years of experience in real estate, public service and advocacy. A native of southwest Missouri and a student of Drury College, Mr. Kearney began his career in real estate development and sales in Chicago and New York, working with condominium and cooperative sales and conversions. Through the 1990s he refined his residential work at home with Fine Homes at Prudential in Springfield and in metro Kansas City through the historic J.C. Nichols Real Estate and his own firm, Grand Real Estate. His sales and developments represented many early urban core transactions - helping reshape parts of downtown Kansas City. His work would lead to serving as Broker Manager for the Chicago Lake Point Tower real estate firm and brokerage work with Sheldon Good & Company, Inland and Invesco. His distinctive approach to the auction market and his mastery of the event earned him a feature in The New York Times.
Drawing on this background in public service and asset management, Mr. Kearney strategically reoriented Kearney and Company’s focus in 2008. Recognizing a growing need for specialized institutional advisory services in the nonprofit and personal care sectors, he expanded the firm's scope from accelerated sales to creating value for charities, fiduciary management and care advocacy for seniors.
In this role, he has served as a trusted fiduciary and has regularly prevailed on behalf of clients before U.S. agencies including the Veterans Administration, Medicare, SSA, California IHSS and New York OTDA. Combined with leadership roles for America's largest senior living operation and international relocation work, his experience reflects an enduring commitment to deep and steadfast client representation.
